Hi Parvati,
I hope to come by this evening to thank you in person and celebrate your transition. In looking at my CV, I realize that we have been working together for almost 15 years! Your insight, support and guidance has been critical to the work we have done to develop and evaluate internet-based programs to prevent eating disorders, maintain weight and lead healthy lives. We now have programs that can provide universal and targeted interventions to all high school and college students. This year, Tom Insel, director of the NIMH said that our work was one of the three most important achievements in eating disorders in the last decade or so. I am also very proud of the work we have done to develop models of on-line breast cancer support groups and integrated,internet-based nurse case management programs for chronic illness. Thank you so much!

Dear Parvati,
Thank you for your leadership and dedication to Summit and Stanford over the years. You've served as a mentor and provided Summit as an incubator in the true enterpreneurial sense to countless students and young graduates. So many of us wobbly-legged foals have found our footing at Summit and realized our own potential under Summit and your protective and encouraging wing.
Summit has been an incredibly formative experience for me. I would not be the person I am today had it not been for you and Summit. It's been a true honor and privilege to have learned from and worked with you. Here's to the hope our paths cross again!
Best,
Derek, Hilary, Iris, and Hewitt
